What is a fractional CRO?

A fractional CRO is a senior revenue executive who works with a company part time to lead revenue strategy, pipeline inspection, sales process, RevOps, forecasting, and team design. The best fractional CRO engagements create clarity before a company commits to a permanent revenue executive.

The job is not to sit in advisory meetings and offer generic sales advice. A useful fractional CRO changes the operating system: how pipeline is reviewed, how forecast is trusted, how CRM is used, how managers inspect work, and what hires are made next.

For founder-led B2B SaaS companies, the role is often most valuable between founder sales and a mature revenue organization.
