Practical notes before the first call

Is Darwinian a marketing agency?

No. We are closer to an embedded GTM function than a traditional agency. We sit inside the company, own a number, and build the systems that produce it. Agencies sell hours. We sell installed revenue infrastructure.

Do you work on retainer or project basis?

Engagements are typically monthly retainers running between three and twelve months, depending on scope. We do not do one-off projects because they do not compound.

Do you do paid media without the rest of the GTM stack?

Almost never. Paid media in isolation, without funnel architecture, CRM, attribution, and creative supply chain, produces ambiguous results. We run it as part of an integrated engagement.

What is the difference between SEO and AI search optimization?

Traditional SEO ranks pages on Google. AI search optimization, sometimes called GEO or AEO, structures content so it can be surfaced and cited by systems like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI overviews.

How fast do engagements ramp?
